Coronavirus (COVID-19) guidance for professionals

Fertility clinics can continue to safely offer treatment.

Updates

HFEA licensed clinics have incorporated safe ways of working for patients and clinic staff during the ongoing pandemic.

We will continue to review any new guidance produced by the Government and devolved administrations, the NHS and Professional Societies and make further statements, as necessary.

Coronavirus FAQs for clinics

We have produced a set frequently asked questions (FAQs) and answers to help guide clinics during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. These FAQs will be updated regularly in line with the latest government guidance and advice from the fertility sector medical and scientific experts. View the FAQs on the Clinic Portal.

Scientific literature about COVID-19 and fertility

During the pandemic, the HFEA has been monitoring the latest scientific literature to better understand the effect that COVID-19 is having on fertility, assisted conception and early pregnancy. A list of papers can be found here.
