Patients
If you have a specific medical question about your fertility treatment, you should speak to your clinic. We’re unable to provide medical or legal advice, nor counselling.
Our role is to provide general information about fertility treatment and egg, sperm and embryo donation. You’ll find the answers to the most frequently asked questions on this website.
Donors
Whether you’re thinking about donating your eggs, sperm or embryos, or have done so in the past, you’ll find everything you need to know on our donors page.
Donor-conceived people and their parents
Find out what you and your child can find out about your donor and any donor-conceived genetic siblings, and how to apply for this information.

If you are a medical or scientific researcher wanting to access information from our fertility treatment database (the Register) visit our data page to find out about the process.
Clinic staff
If you're a member of clinic staff and you have a query, your first port of call should be your inspector. If you’re not sure who this is, please contact us.
Complaints about us
If you want to make a complaint about us, you should follow our complaints process.
Complaints about a clinic
If you’re not happy with the treatment or service you’ve had at a fertility clinic, it’s your right to complain to them. We’re here to help if you’re not happy with the way they’ve handled your complaint.
You should know that by law we're only able to consider certain types of complaints and we can’t intervene in disputes about funding and treatment costs. We also have a limited remit to intervene if a clinic refuses treatment.
