Secretary of State appoints new Member to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority
A new Member has been appointed by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA), to set policy and practice for the organisation.

Professor Christine Watson, Professor Emeritus of Cell and Cancer Biology at the University of Cambridge, begins her 3-year term from 1 May 2023.
Julia Chain, Chair of the Human Fertilisation & Embryology Authority (HFEA) said:
“I am delighted to be welcoming Professor Watson to the Authority. Each new Member brings a wealth of experience which shapes our future activity and drives forward the HFEA’s objective of providing high quality care for the UK’s fertility patients.”
